FAQs

Do I need to purchase any equipment before I start this course?

Not necessarily; you may be surprised at how effective a workout you can get from sticking with bodyweight exercises alone. If you are keen to add a little more resistance and variety to your training though, and you don’t want to head into gym, you can pick yourself up just a few bits of kit and do your workouts from home. There’ll be more detail in the Getting You Kitted Out section of the course, but a set of resistance bands provides a great starting point. Plus, they pack down small and won’t take over your house.

I’m unfit, is this course suitable for me?

One of the many benefits of strength training is that it's accessible and tailor-able to pretty much everyone. You don't need to be super fit already; it’s easy to adjust the volume of your training to make sure you get through feeling like you've worked hard, but without feeling like you might throw up or collapse. Neither do you need to be a certain shape or size. With so many different exercises and exercise modifications available, there are plenty of options to ensure you get a full body workout without being put into positions that feel uncomfortable or impossible.

Am I too old to start doing something like this?

Age certainly shouldn’t be a limiting factor. In fact, I’d say the older you get, the more important it becomes to get lifting. Visions of fit young people lifting heavy and flexing their muscles in the gym can make it feel like this whole game is just exclusively for them. But the truth is, that’s not where most of us are at and with a little guidance, anyone at any age can start strength training. Besides, the whole purpose of this course is to empower you to take control of your own training, which means you'll be able to adjust the intensity of your training to whatever you feel comfortable with.

I have injuries, is this course suitable for me?

If you have any injuries, illnesses or you’re taking any medications, you’re advised to get clearance from your doctor before you begin any physical activity. Depending on the nature of your injury/illness, modifications to your training programme and the exercises may be required, in which case it might be more suitable to seek one-to-one support to ensure your training meets your needs.

I’ve never done any strength training before, is this course suitable for me?

Absolutely! I’ve designed this course with beginners in mind. Ultimately, you’ll learn how to write your own gym programmes and perform your exercises safely and correctly, but before we get there, we’ll be covering the basics – like what to wear, how to fuel for your sessions and what equipment to use – so you feel confident with what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.

When does the course start and finish?

Once you’re all signed up, you’ll be able to access your course almost immediately. There’s no time limit on completing the course; it’s go at your own pace and you’ll have lifetime access to the materials.

Is there a cancellation policy or refund guarantee?

Yes! If you’re not absolutely happy, just let me know within the first 14 days of signing up and I’ll issue you with a full refund*. This course is not for everyone; if you’re after a quick fix or a beasting, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. But if you’re keen to take control of your health and fitness and lay the foundations for some serious, long-term positive changes, then I’m confident that you’re going to love what’s inside.
